Basic Risk Factors for Being “At-Risk”

  • The U.S. Census Bureau found in 2001 that 54% of students have no significant risk factors for being “at-risk.”

  • 36% of at-risk students had familial risk factors, i.e., problems in the family.

  • 18% had personal risk factors.
